Use this web address to get to all the pictures from The Amazing Scavenger Ralley on Saturday.  There is a set for each team, so feel free to look at one or all!

It should be a couple days yet until I post the exact amount raised.  As long as all the promised contributions come in we should have over $800, after expenses, to send to the ALS Association!

Awesome job and huge thanks to everyone!

And The Winner Is . . .

Team Quad Squad!  Congratulations Sue, Sammie, Suzann, Alexa and Jen!  Great job.

Here are some pics from all the teams.

I will upload most of them to Flickr and post the link here when I get it done.

Alexa of Quad Squad giving a stranger an airplane ride.

Team Triple G’s with a snowman made of mashed potatoes.

Team Esther’s Angel’s with several list items in this shot. Round bale of hay, blue tongues, spinning a Frisbee, with a rainbow, doing a handstand.

No pictures yet from Team Rally for a Cause.  I have to get them from the computer they were loaded onto for judging.

And here is Team Rally for a Cause!

That would be Sue!  I left the building to help my sister bring stuff in and then I couldn’t get back in!

Her team will be getting bonus points for that!

Thanks Sue!

After some intense strategy planning and furious picture taking, all teams have left the building.

Here is a shot of each team studying ‘The List’.

Stay tuned for more details!

Team Rally for a Cause

I really wish someone else would plan one of these!  HINT, HINT!  That way I could play too and see what you all go through.

But I do enjoy planning everything, so it’s all good!

And what do you want to talk about today,  Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm . . . . . . . .

I am willing to bet you want to hear about a few more of ‘The List’ items.  I guess I can do that.

  • A picture of a stranger holding a ‘Barrel of Monkeys’.
  • A picture of your ENTIRE team in a pet store, each holding an animal.
  • A picture of someone riding any non-motorized vehicle through any drive thru.

I warned you previous players that this year was going to be more difficult!

And just so you all know, Jen B. is setting the donations bar pretty high!  She is bringing $205 to start the day, that’s 20,500 point already for her!  And she is the single player that will need to join a team tomorrow.  I know you all want her now!

Good luck to everyone tomorrow!

Jen is so bummed she can’t participate this year! But watch out for next year, her back should be healed and ready to go! It is good for me though, since I needed her for a judge.

Sue and Sammie and their 2 new team members Suzann and Alexa are going to be tough competition. Sue and Sammie were last years winners!

Christine, Nicole and Dawn are also adding 2 members to their team. If people keep adding members to their teams they are going to need a bus!

36 Hours and Counting!

We are getting closer!  Down to an hour countdown woo hoo!

There will be 5 teams total 4 and 5 people one each.  Yay!

Jen, the single player, now has well over $100 in donations.  We are not sure yet what team will get her and all those points.  We can decide that on Saturday.

And a couple more teasers . . .

  • A picture of any team member doing a pirouette.
  • A picture of a team member eating a banana.

Okay, I think that’s enough for now, I will probably post a couple more tomorrow night!

All the team struggled to get everyone jumping with their feet in the air. Just look at the concentration!

And sorry, no team name in a Lite Brite!

A Quick Teaser . . .

So, here is one of the required items on ‘The List’.

  • A picture of your entire team with one of those big round bales of hay.

Well, that is the basics for this item.  You will find out the rest on Saturday!

And just for laughs, here’s another partial item . . .

  • A picture of a stranger in a dentists chair.

Can you guess what else you might need to have with these items?

Good luck!

There is no laying in a chalk outline this year!

Only 4 Days until Ralley Day!

Okay participants, a few things you need to know.

When you arrive at the start location, Advanced Conversion Technology (ACT), park along the front of the building, near the second entrance.  Look for the Welcome sign on or by the door.  Leave at least 1 parking space between you and the next vehicle.

Check in starts at 9:00 and everyone must be there by 9:30 for the kick off meeting.  We will go over the rules, you can ask any questions at this time and you will get your gift bags.  You will get ‘The List’ after the meeting.  You will have whatever time you need for planning and can leave whenever you want to after that.

Only employees will be able to open the building doors, so if you leave the building, make sure someone knows to let you back in.  While inside, you will be restricted to the cafeteria and the bathroom areas, unless accompanied by an ACT employee.

Things you will need . . .

  • Vehicle (duh!) preferably with a full tank of gas
  • Cell phone with text
  • Fully charged digital camera, with cord or adapter, for transferring pics to a computer via USB port (I have a mini USB to USB cable, so if that’s what you use you don’t need to bring it)
  • A back up camera or at least another charged battery might be a good idea, there was a previous team that had their camera quit on them
  • Money, either cash or credit card, a challenge or two may require you to buy something, but it won’t be much!
  • Change of clothes and towel for at least 1 team member (more would be good!)

It will be very helpful if you have . . .

  • Internet access through your phone (You could play without it, but having this will be a huge help)
  • Socks (you don’t have to be wearing them, but have a pair with you!)
  • GPS
  • A tripod could be helpful in getting Entire Team shots in some locations where other people may not be around

And just for fun . . .

These three ladies, Dawn, Christine and Nicole, will be in this years Ralley, as well as 2 new team members! Recruiting new players. Yay!

Sue and Sammie also recruited 2 new players for their team. And you know, I just noticed you gals are backwards! You have M Y and A C in the next shot. Good thing we didn’t notice this last year, you might not have won the game!

Hi everyone! It’s Jana’s sister Jen here. I stole Jana’s computer to make a guest post! I’m a little bummed that I can’t participate this year, but I just had surgery a couple of weeks ago, so I can’t spend long amounts of time in a car yet. I’ll still be involved though! I’m going to help with judging at the end of the day.

We have full teams this year, so it’s nice to see the word getting around! I hope everyone is getting geared up for a very fun day. I’ve seen a draft of The List and I had to laugh, because it will definitely be a blast!

Anyhow…only a few days left! I can’t wait to see everyone ready to go on Saturday morning. Good luck!

Just a quick update to yesterdays post. I think any old fashioned arcade game is going to be hard to find. With that, let’s add Ms. Pac-Man to the options for “The List” item. You can use either Ms. or Mr. Pac-Man for the arcade game!

Good luck finding either one!
