My Mom . . . is kinda hard to describe.  It figures she would get a kinda rare disease (ALS) that leaves her mind . . . and her smart mouth intact.  Do a little research on ALS, I am not putting anything specific on here.

She is the reason this years Ralley is benefiting the ALS Association.  We only got the diagnosis a few weeks ago, after a year of her declining health.

Just a year ago she was working full time as a housekeeper in the hospital at Masonic Village in Elizabethtown.  She started tripping and falling and quickly progressed to ending up in a wheelchair all the time.  Her legs have sorta melted away, and she always had skinny chicken legs to start with.

I thought I would share some of the pictures I have of her from over the past almost 7 decades.

And she hates having her picture taken, so all the ones with that special finger have not been included!

Not sure exactly what was so funny, but Jen and Mom are certainly amused!

Mom with her oldest grandson, Scott. He came to live with her in 2002 and she did her best to raise him. It wasn’t easy for either one of them. But they loved each other and Scott is missed everyday.
