I’m not sure how this is going to work out, but lets give it a shot.  I will be walking in the The Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure® walk in Philadelphia on October 14 to 16.  20 miles a day for 3 days.  Yikes!  I have been walking / training so that aspect is coming along nicely.

The other part of this commitment involves raising at least $2300 for the charity.  I’ve thought of so many different ways to raise this money, because I don’t like simply asking people for money without them getting anything in return.  I had already been thinking of organizing a scavenger hunt, just for fun, so I decided to take it one step farther and do this big event.

Anyone who knows me personally knows how much I love The Amazing Race reality show.  I want to travel to all those countries and do, maybe not ALL of the challenges, but the vast majority of them.  So that was why I decided to extend the Scavenger Hunt idea.  I’ve also always thought doing a road rally would be fun, so I added that component as well.

I already have a list partially developed and this is going to be quite fun!  I’m a little bummed that I won’t be able to do some of the challenges that will be presented!

This will be a family event, and children are welcome to participate, as long as it is with parental / guardian permission.  There will be a few things on the list that they will not be able to do, but none of the required items or challenges will have any age limitations.

If you want to register online you can visit my participants page to pay the $25.00 direct donation, but I will still need the additional registration money to be paid in cash, check or money order.  Leave your email or phone number in the comments section here and I will get in touch with you for payment options.

Please, ask questions!  I look forward to questions and hearing suggestions on any aspect you wish to comment on, so please feel free to do so.
